Product Knowledge

Smectizorb (complementary mineral feed) is an intestinal protectant based on Di-Tri Octahedral (DTO) Smectite.

This formula provides a large surface area and high absorbency capacity for toxins, bacteria and free radicals which may contribute to digestive tract upsets.

Smectizorb also contains Illite and Kaolin to further assist the gastro-intestinal function of horses and foals.

This may be added to feed, mixed with water to form a paste/liquid, or may be administered by a vet via stomach tube.

Competition Safe (FEI).

Instructions for Proper Use
Adult horses: 1-2 cups per day or as directed by your veterinarian.
Foals: 1/4 cup mixed with water, 2-3 times daily or as directed by your veterinarian.

1 cup = approximately 120 grams.

Smectizorb is suitable for gastric tube administration by your veterinarian.
Your veterinarian may recommend alternative feeding amounts based on clinical need.
